Tudor Black Bay Chrono

BLACK BAY CHRONO S&G – A Purist’s Chronograph in steel and gold

The Black Bay Chrono S&G model combines the aquatic heritage of Tudor, represented by the famous Black Bay design, with one of the most iconic horological function, the chronograph in a steel and gold execution for a precious sporty-chic result with an undeniable touch of nostalgia.

The gold parts on the Black Bay Chrono S&G models all show a satin-brushed or sandblasted matt finish. This effect gives an intended warm tone to the yellow gold, a distinctive vintage look and feel to the watch.

The bezel and the first centre-link of the Black Bay Chrono S&G’s bracelet, at 12 and 6 o’clock, are made of 18k solid yellow gold. The other links as well as the crown are made using a gold-shell technique, where a piece of solid gold is folded over a core of stainless steel. Unlike gold-plating, this technique allows for multiple polishing jobs at service as the gold layer is far thicker.

Powered by manufacture calibre MT5813, complete with column wheel mechanism, vertical clutch, silicon balance spring and a power reserve of 70 hours, the Black Bay Chrono S&G offers a purists construction paired with unmatched value and quality for money in its category.

About Tudor

TUDOR SA is a Swiss manufacturer of high-quality wristwatches based in Geneva. Registered in 1926 at the request of Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex SA, it was positioned as a more affordable alternative. Today the brand remains a sister company to the parent company, both of which are owned by the Hans Wilsdorf Foundation. Over time Tudor watches became especially well known for its tool watches, producing watches for professional divers and the military. Between the 1960s and 1980s[3] several navies issued Tudor Submariners to their divers, including the US Navy to its elite SEALs, and the French to their famous Marine Nationale (French Navy)
